The film was announced in May 2020 and the official launch ceremony took place in November 2020. Principal photography began in Dubai in January 2021 and later in Hyderabad, but was halted in April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming resumed in July 2021 and took place in Goa and Spain, wrapping up in April 2022. The film’s music and soundtrack are composed by Thaman S,
while the cinematography and editing are by R. Madhi and Marsand K. Venkatesh. Sarkaru Vaari Paata’s theatrical release was initially scheduled for January 2022, but was postponed due to the pandemic and production delays. The film finally released in theaters on May 12, 2022, to mostly mixed to positive reviews. The film grossed approximately 169 million rupees worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2022.

The movie is also very emotional as it depicts the story of people who committed suicide after failing to repay their loans while the rich don’t even receive a notice when billions of yen worth of money is laundered from banks.
