Anne’s proposition involves a controversial arrangement that challenges Lisa’s values and tests the boundaries of their relationship. What/If Review
The show leaves you with a strange feeling by the end. Renée Zellweger delivers a fantastic performance, truly entertaining to watch. While the archetype of a cold-blooded, detached antagonist is always thrilling, her underlying motives could have been better executed. The conclusion should have somehow connected back to her initial storyline and her book to pique interest for a potential Part II.
The constant testing of characters’ morals and their attempts to fit into different roles feels somewhat disjointed, despite the presence of compelling characters. The direction appears a bit off, which detracts from the overall experience. However, there’s something about the way it was crafted that keeps it engaging.
